Using the same peppers that are smoked then finely ground to make their iconic red-tinned ‘La Chinata’ paprika brand, this new product encases roughly chopped smoked paprika peppers inside a dispensable spice grinder. La Chinata only choose the best ‘Jaranda’, ‘Jariza’ and ‘Bola’ pepper varieties grown in the La Vera region. Harvested in the late Autumn, they are immediately moved to the traditional smoke houses of the region to be dried over holm oak or oak wood fires slowly for 15 days. The result is brilliant – simply grind the smoked paprika flakes into and over all kinds of dishes – add to pasta sauces and stews, pizzas and paella, grilled prawns and salmon steaks and all types of BBQ meats - the possibilities are endless! Like most traditional Spanish smoked paprika's, this is available in three styles - Agridulce (bitter-sweet), Dulce (sweet) and Picante (hot).
