In a nutshell: Spanish smoked olive oil, made with Arbequina olives smoked over holm oak in traditional La Vera paprika barns, gives a complex smoky, fruity flavour to all kinds of dishes.
This limited edition smoked olive oil is a revelation. Using the traditional paprika smoke houses of the La Vera region, the oil is smoked with holm oak wood in their ancient barns for 15 days to produce a soft and complex smoky aroma. The variety of olive is “Arbequina”, which also gives the olive oil a delicate and fruity flavour. All the olives comes from their own fields, located in the Toledo region. The stylish bottle, sealed with wax, is packaged in an individual box, which includes an oil pourer and makes a great gift for a foodie friend. Annual production is about 9,800 bottles. This special Smoked Olive Oil has many culinary uses, but is particularly recommended as a finishing oil, drizzled over all types of dishes. Use it with charcuterie and seafood, rice and pasta dishes or add it to oil-based sauces like “alioli” or mayonnaise.
